alive in the mundane.
Christmas break I have started to smile more, laugh more, live more. I can actually say that I am happy in some fleeting moments. After 8 months of almost total isolation and no social life, it is weird to start falling back into the swing of things like seeing people more than once in a blue moon. I get to spend time with my best friends and not miss their entire lives because I’m too weak...

The Perfect Storm
It’s nice to finally know my diagnosis, but it is bitter sweet. I don’t make antibodies for a very common bacteria, one so common that it’s very scary to think about, I have to worry about the flu, h1n1, common cold, pneumonia, and strep throat. Common illnesses could potentially put me in the hospital. I have to be extremely careful which is why I have become such a recluse and avoided...
